I just finished reading Fairweather Friend by Jessie Garcia. Many thanks to NetGalley and St Martin’s Press for the advanced copy in return for an honest review.
This story started off with great promise. It introduced some interesting and slightly quirky characters at the beginning that sparked my interest. The main character is Faith and she is a weather person for a local newcast. She is well loved by all and has a huge following. But there are some rumblings and when the side characters are introduced you can see there will be trouble…and there is.
What follows is a whodunit mystery involving many characters who all look guilty at some point
The writing was good, the characters were good, especially the crazy ones and the mystery was good.
But is it okay to say the ending was not good. It was a but much. And it didn’t really make sense to me. I wish I could say I liked the ending but I didnt. It was probably two chapters too long.
But everything else was good. Maybe others will like the ending.
