Never Saw Me Coming by Vera Kurian

Never Saw Me Coming by Vera Kurian

A story which takes place on a college campus and includes characters who share a commonality: they are ‘psychopaths’ enrolled in a special program which treats their condition. There is a series of murders which take place on campus and three of the students in the special program decide to work together to figure out what is going on. The main character, a girl named Chloe, is also planning revenge on a boy who did her wrong when she was a youth. Of course, because they are psycophaths, there is a degree of mistrust between all of them which they must navigate through to achieve their goal. Added to the main mystery, each character is involved in a sub-plot which is equally interesting. The author did an excellent job of providing a background to the main characters so that the reader was invested in what happened to them. Even though there was no major event throughout the story (except for the big reveal which happened at the very end), there was well-written intrigue to keep the reader interested and turning the page (or scrolling in my case). The chemistry created between the main characters was well written and I cared about the three main characters and wanted to see them win at the end. Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book. I would happily recommend this book to anyone who is interested in mystery thrillers.

My rating 4 out of 5
