The Maid by Nita Prose

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I just read a great book. It is called “The Maid” by Nita Prose. It was an absolutely delightful read and I thoroughtly enjoyed this book. This book takes place in a fancy hotel and the main character is a very diligent and thoughtful Molly, who absolutely loves cleaning. SHe is very awkward and doesn’t quite know how to navigate through social situations.

Through life with her grandmother, she has learned how to survive in a world she doesn’t quite fit into. She is awkwardly naive and has been taken advantage of, but has survived and tries so hard that the reader just wants her to be happy.

In her job as a maid, she is put in charge of cleaning a rather shady character’s hotel suite and in so doing she discovers his dead body in the suite. What follows is a series of events where she must figure out who she can trust and follow her instincts so that she won’t get blamed for the man’s murder.

The character of Molly and the supporting characters are so engaging and delightful, that I found it hard to put the book down. I really wanted a win for Molly and her friends. I wanted her to be recognized and appreciated for the wonderful person that she is.

The ending was very satisfying and showed Molly in a new light which left me smiling. I would like to thank Net Galley for providing me with an advance copy of this book and I most highly recommend this book to all. You will be smiling when you finish this book. It is so different from anything I have ever read that I found it to be a breath of fresh air.

I give it five stars out of five stars.

Happy Reading Everyone!!!!!
